Own transfers, in hindsight too
“Find own transfers” goes through everything already in the app and links the pairs of “an expense on one account, an income on another” into transfers — years back included. You can point at a single transaction as a transfer to your own account yourself, and any transfer can be unlinked.
Your data stays on your phone
FinApp no longer goes into Google's system backup or phone-to-phone transfer, the lock after wrong PINs grows and survives a restart, a damaged backup cannot destroy what you still have, and losing the database key now comes with an explanation.
Dates that stay put
Editing an imported transaction no longer moves its date a day back, existing transactions return to their right day, and re-importing a bank statement repairs its balance dates.
Bank fees, recognised and filed
Bank fees from Wise and Raiffeisen statements are recognised as fees paid to the bank, older Wise fees can be tidied up, and a category chosen once files every bank fee automatically.
Bank fees your app learns from you
Mark a transaction as a bank fee (or as not one) and the app marks every transaction like it, remembers the rule for later imports, and lets you review or forget what it learned.
A clearer first run, a Home you arrange yourself, and faster receipt capture
A new installation now chooses its language, currency and categories and is helped to add its first account before anything asks for a transaction. Home, the + button and what the app opens on are yours to arrange, Back behaves the way Android users expect, and the camera or gallery opens on the first tap without asking for your PIN again on the way back.
Safer CAMT imports with account identity and bank balance checkpoints
CAMT bank statements now link only to the right account and retain dated booked balances for a clear comparison with your FinApp ledger.
Home shows this month, and Analyses lead straight to your transactions
Home now opens on the current month and your accounts instead of your total wealth. Tapping a category, the "Other" slice or a label in Analyses opens the normal Transactions list with the right filters already set, and that list can now show uncategorized transactions and narrow a category to its subcategories.
Four places instead of five, and a Settings screen you can search
The app is now organized around Home, Transactions, Analyses and Plan. Settings moved into one searchable screen, importing sits with your transactions, reports and labels and wealth analysis sit together, and budget and goals share a tab. Nothing moved out of reach — the "More" drawer is simply gone.
Receipts: the photo stays, and the scanner crops it for you
The camera finds and straightens a receipt before the reader sees it, its photo is kept with the transaction and can be browsed, and a receipt whose total caption came out garbled still gives up its amount. This release also brings transaction labels, changing your main currency, and a clearer statement import.
Read every one of your numbers in the currency you chose
The display currency now covers every figure — this month's income and expenses, the report with its categories, net-worth history and balances — and the currency list can be searched by typing.
See your money in another currency
Pick a display currency under More and your net worth on the dashboard is stated in it, while every account and asset keeps the currency it is actually in.
See what you owned on any past day
Open the net worth history and pick a date — or tap a point on the curve — to get every account and asset as it stood that day, each with the date and source of its valuation.
Saving receipt items stopped hiding
A scan that detected line items shows both save choices without scrolling — on a small screen and with the keyboard open too.
Smarter receipts, smaller photos, and backups that carry them
Receipt categories now agree across Home, reports, budgets and filters; FinApp remembers product categories, explains what it learned, stores smaller private photos, can include them in encrypted backups, restores backups on Android and rejects a wrong password straight away.
The app closes behind you, and amounts read the way you write them
Coming back from the background asks for your PIN again — immediately, or after 1 or 5 minutes, whichever you choose — and the screen you had open, along with anything you had typed, waits untouched behind the lock; the app also blocks screenshots, the recents preview and screen recording; amounts follow the Polish or English display convention, with five formats to choose from; and deleting your financial data now removes private receipt photos with it.
A receipt, split into what you actually bought
A scanned receipt can now be saved item by item, each line under its own category, and reports and budgets count that split; scanning also stops booking the wrong amount — a euro conversion, or a price column headed Total — a corrected shop name comes back on the next scan, a bad reading can be reported, and receipt photos have a home, a size report and an expiry date.
A new look, and receipts read far more accurately
A refreshed interface, receipt reading matched to the document's language, fields explicitly marked when they need checking, batch scanning from the gallery, and safer reset, import and updates.
Safer money calculations and valuations
More reliable base-currency net worth, stricter exchange-rate and statement validation, and exact report grouping at monetary boundaries.
Precious metals, FX transparency and your own base currency
Gold, silver, platinum and palladium as assets with automatic ESTV ICTax valuation, a new exchange-rates screen, and a base currency you choose at first launch.
Reports now support flexible periods
Monthly reporting moved beyond a fixed month view, making it easier to review custom periods and compare finances across a chosen range.
Closed accounts can be archived
Accounts now support an archived state, so closed accounts disappear from active pickers while history, reports, net worth, and imports remain coherent.
CSV import handles currencies more safely
CSV import now rejects invalid currency cells, detects ambiguous new-account currencies, and makes the preview ask for a user decision instead of guessing.
CSV import/export v2 is complete
FinApp now uses canonical CSV v2 headers, ISO dates, locale-aware aliases, date-format detection, outflow/inflow pairs, category splitting, target-account selection, and remembered mappings.
Budgets and savings goals landed
FinApp now has a Budgets tab with category limits, effective-from history, progress states, and savings goals tied to accounts, assets, or net worth.
Transfers, search, filters, and grouped transactions
The transaction area now supports own-account transfers, search, filters, day grouping, and a unified delete flow with undo.
Encrypted backups are in beta
FinApp now supports full backup and restore with optional passphrase encryption, plus tests for wrong-passphrase retry across the real background isolate path.
Pre-1.0 MVP baseline is in place
FinApp has the M1-M7 foundation in the app: net worth, transactions, CSV and CAMT imports, local categorization, monthly reports, receipt OCR, and category management.
